Wedding Traditions: Something New

This wedding tradition is the second line in the old English rhyme, “Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue, A Sixpence in your Shoe” which the bride adds to her wedding outfit or carries with her on the wedding day as good luck charms. Something New stands for the optimism and hope for the bride’s new life ahead, and a good luck to a bright, happy future. Your wedding gown (if purchased new, of course), a new piece of jewelry, a new lingerie, or a new pair of shoes are some of the popular choices. Check out the info graphic below for a more modern take on this wedding tradition!
