Whenever I get asked about choosing a wedding photographer, I tell the brides to visualize first how they want their photographs to be like. Would they be sweeping and dramatic? Or perhaps, sunshine-y bright, like taken straight out of a wedding magazine? Or would they be bold and vibrant, perfect for your colorful wedding theme? Or say, you want them subdued and vintage-looking?

Wedding photographers have different “photography art” so it’s important to make sure that what you want is what they do best. While I know some brides who booked their photographers because a) they’re popular, b) they were offering BIG discounts at the bridal fair, or c) someone else booked the photographer for them, sometimes ending up quite frustrated because they realized too late that they are not the ones they need.

So, after looking for one, feel free to browse their online photography galleries, check out the previous weddings they’ve covered in order for you to get a feel if their “photography art” is what you like. What I’m saying is, take time in choosing your wedding photographer. Do not rush it. Your wedding photographs are the only ones that what will be left after all the flowers have been used, the food consumed, and after the rave party you had was over. These are your keepsakes for life, so if you have to invest on something, invest on photography. If you have to take time in choosing something, take time reviewing the photographer you want. This little step in your wedding preparation is not something you would like to skip.

To give you a quick round on how to ace that perfect wedding photograph you dream of, here’s an info graphic on the tips and tricks for perfectly captured weddings:
