Inspired by the masterful art of 19th century Dutch painter, Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema, the Spring/ Summer Couture 2014 Elie Saab collection features flowers and textures which the painter is known for. Full of detail-oriented pieces, each dress in this collection shines with flowing, delicately embroidered lace frocks that are superbly feminine and romantic. The combination of flower appliques and crystal embellishments is so captivating, it will fill your day with languid dreams of lush gardens and of sweet smelling roses.
Definitely wedding-worthy, here are my top favorites.

It’s Bridal Fashion Week once again, cherries! And it is that time of the year when we can openly swoon over those endless gorgeous arrays of exquisitely made wedding gowns from the wedding fashion indsutry’s crème de la crème. I am quite excited as I have already seen some of the works of my favorite designers, and I am happy to say than 2015 is going to be filled with lots of gorgeousness than we could take!
To start Bridal Spring 2015 here on the blog, I bring you the remarkable wedding gowns by no less than THE Monique Lhuillier. Her creations have always been my favorite so it is just fitting that I start my Bridal Spring 2015 features with her work. Entitled “My Ethereal Daydream”, Monique Lhuillier Spring 2015 wedding dress collection was inspired by the works of painter, John Singer Sargent. She even ended the runway show by gathering all the models on a platform with some of them sitting and others standing, thus creating the effect of a Sargent portraiture.

I needed to go back to what this is all about. It is about her desire to wear that most special dress, fitting of that most special day. How to bring out that happy feeling while celebrating her uniqueness. To make her feel loved, because she is. It is then that I revisited the past, went back to what is essential. This collection is exactly how I want to see that bride, full of life. and so in love — soft, sparkling details that enhance, opulence of taffeta in that simple skirt, purity of white amidst the sea of creams and those floral details that are so familiar yet so fresh.”
