Fierce. Raw. Poetic. I sum up today’s engagement photo shoot in these 3 words. And what I love about this is that, it’s a far cry from the usual eye-candy e-sessions we see. Don’t get me wrong, I do love those darling pre-nup sessions that are all filled up with rainbow colors and cutesy props. Oh, I do. But today’s e-sesh is NOT that. It is more than just a collaboration of cute props and sweet couple. It is fiercely a cut above of what we usually see because Lester and Janine’s engagement session is a visual poetry.
Their stylist Geofredo Lagria shares the concept behind this shoot, “The story is about an Indian guy who met this pretty girl in the middle of the woods. They met, got to know each other until the girl joined their tribe and they lived happily ever after.” Oh you gotta admit it, it’s not everyday that you get to see an e-sesh with warbonnets and Indian tribes as the theme.
It is equally amazing how their photographer, Jeff Garban of Green and Purple Photos was able to capture this concept and execute it in this one beautiful visual poetry we now see. This e-sesh is just too epic for words. See the story unfold below to believe. Enjoy! 🙂

I just can’t stop staring at that pink tepee. It reminds me of cotton candy clouds and sugar and spice and everything nice. Isn’t it just adorably cute? I think it looked perfect against the clear blue sky and the calm, pristine beach behind it. It certainly looked comfy lounging inside it!
I also adore that vintage table setup on the rocky shore. It is such an edgy touch that is quickly softened by the warm hugs between Resty and Edelweiss, hyped up with her lovely pink flowy dress and the hints of the coming sunset, I say, added drama. I’m sure getting those shots done at that rocky part of the beach is tricky (and not easy) and yet it ended up looking oh-so-romantic.
I love how the couple Resty and Edelweiss were cozy and cuddly in this shoot. They were relaxed and happy, and it was very evident how crazy in love they were with each other. I’m sure it was such a perfect day for them. Well, what else can you ask for if you were given a perfect day, a perfect weather, a perfect location, a perfect photographer and THE perfect pink tepee all at your disposal for an e-sesh? Oh, and let’s not forget you are with that one perfect person you will be spending the rest of forever with.
These lovely photos as captured by Paopao Sanchez will show you what summer dreams are made of. Revel in this perfect day, cherries! The following photos are going to be dreamy…

It’s not everyday that you stumble upon something awesome, so it’s up-a-notch-better if it lands right into your inbox. Green Tomato, a talented group of new breed videographers, has sent my way this out-of-the-box-unique engagement video of Matthew and Veron. A combination of cutesy graphics and brilliant story-telling, this e-sesh video has captured in minutes the “how we met” story of the couple, and even how the proposal took place! What’s also so cool about it is that instead of the use of fancy props, cutesy and strategically placed graphics made the video more charmingly quirky, upbeat and superbly “different” from the usual e-sesh vids you get to watch — and oh, because of all the zany doodles in it, this vid actually reminded me of the film, 500 Days of Summer (yes, that movie which has set the bar a little higher for the league of rom-com storytelling).
This e-sesh vid by Green Tomato definitely has the makings of awesome. Watch Matthew and Veron tell their love story through “Squibbles”! Enjoy! 🙂
